An open letter about potholes from Derbyshire County Council, in which they start with statements designed to suggest that our winter months feature far worse weather than any previously experienced, etc. So, this initial filibustering is followed by stating that they are not doing so: perhaps what you’ve just read is a figment of our imagination.
Reading the letter, one could be forgiven for thinking it has been written by an organisation which needs to experiment in road repair, having little past experience. Maybe they’ve just forgotten the techniques involved through years of past neglect then!
